The World Golf Awards reward excellence in golf tourism, in golf courses and in the destinations where this sport is played. The winners were chosen by tourism and golf professionals, including travel buyers, tour operators, journalists and managers, with the help of votes from golf tourists from around the globe via the awards programme website. UNA Poggio dei Medici Golf Club beat fourteen of the most prestigious golf courses in Italy, proving to be the best in its field and primed to host important high-level international tournaments, and it received the awards last Saturday at the gala ceremony held in Spain at the Manga Club near Murcia.
