UNA Hotels & Resorts, the Italian hotel chain with hotels all over the country, announces the first edition of UNA Golf Cup 2010, the golf circuit organized by UNA that will involve eight of the best courses in Italy.

The tournament started on April 11th at the Cavaglià golf Club (Biella), followed by the event at the Golf Club Milano on April 18th, and at the Pavoniere Golf Club (PO) on June 13th. The tournment continues at the Poggio dei Medici Golf Club (FI) on June 20th, at Golf Venezia on July 2oth, at Golf Franciacorta  on August 1st, and on the Golf Olgiata Rome on  September 4th, and  will end on October 9th with the event at Golf Monticello (CO).

 
The tournament will be played according to the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, adopted by F.I.G. and according to the local rules in force in the clubs hosting the events, and using the 18 hole stableford 3 category (play hcp 0 – 12 lim.: hcp 13 – 22 lim. : hcp 23 – 36).
The tournament is open to all amateurs, both men and women, with F.I.G. membership or an equivalent in other countries and both members of the clubs where the tournament will take place as well as non-member players.

On each of the courses in which the UNA Golf Cup 2010 will be played, a gazebo will be set up with a hospitality desk, where players will receive their scores for the tournament and complimentary gifts from the sponsors. At the end of each round, participants will be invited for cocktails and prize-giving at the Club House.
After each round there will be a prize for 1st and 2nd netto in each category, 1st lordo, 1st senior and 1st lady. The criterion for awarding prizes will follow the Federation’s ruling for prizes which are not cumulative, and winners will be offered stays at UNA Hotels & Resorts hotels, as well as prizes offered by the sponsors Lucaldo and BIO-NIKE.

The winners per categories of each qualifying round will also be invited to take part as guests of the organization (free stay, green fees and participation fee), in the “Mugello Charity Cup” event which will take place in 2011 at the Poggio dei Medici Golf Club.
